National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) - Kosea Science
and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF) |
Purpose |
1. Research
grants are allocated for joint research between Thai and Korean
researchers.
2. The researchers are required to conduct research in their own
country. There may be exchange of researchers under the research
project, however.
3. Each research grant will last about two years, and the Thai
researcher will receive a maximum amount of 500,000 baht per year. |

Condition |
1.
Each applicant must contact his Korean counterpart to discuss
their joint research project.
2. Thai applicants are to submit their project proposals to the
NRCT and their Korean counterparts to the Korea Science and Engineering
Foundation (KOSEF), Division of International Cooperation, KOSEF,
180 - 1 Kajeong - Dong, Youseong - Ku, Taejon 305 - 350 Korea.

3. Thai applicants are to submit all documents to Foreign Cooperation
Section 1, Translation and Foreign Relations Division, NRCT as
follows :
3.1 Submission paper (obtainable from the NRCT) Summary of the
proposed research project (ten copies in Thai and ten in English,
about one page in length on A4 paper).
3.2 Project proposal written in Thai in Wor Chor 1 Kor Tor Form
(25 copies).
3.3 Project proposal written in English (five copies)
3.4 A letter from the researcher\'s superior with the rank of,at
least, director general or equivalent expressing permission for
the researcher to use research facilities and equipment, premises,
etc.
3.5 A letter from the Korean counterpart confirming his interest
in the proposed joint research project. |
Nature |
| Working
Group on Research Project Monitoring and Evaluation will be appointed
by the National Research of Thailand, consisting of experts in
each academic field in order to evaluate approved projects every
six months. |
Eligibility |
1.The
research proposals of Thai researchers will be approved by Sub-committee
on Thai-Foreign Cooperative Research Project Promotion.
2.The research proposals of Korean researchers will be approved
by the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF) |
Selection |
1.The
NRCT gives approval of research grants to Thai researchers.
2.The Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF) gives approval
of research grants to Korean researchers.
3.Research will begin upon approval of each proposed joint research
project by both the NRCT and the Korea Science and Engineering
Foundation (KOSEF). |
