Purpose |
1. This
is the grant for research conducted by Thai researcher.
2. This grant is provided for research in the scheme of :
2.1 feasibility study of ASEAN cooperative projects;
2.2 promoting dissemination of research data, scientific conference
and seminar and exchange of scientists between ASEAN member countries
and Dialogue Partners;
2.3 small scale basic research to enhance the ASEAN cooperative
projects; and
2.4 promoting policy research as well as accumulating and analysing
S&T data about Thailand, ASEAN and its Dialogue Partners.
3. This grant is awarded for 2 years, approximately, with the
amount of not over 500,000 baht per year. |

Nature |
| The
Working Group on Research Project Evaluation which consists of
experts in concerned technical disciplines will be appointed by
the National Research Council of Thailand with the responsibility
to evaluate the approved research project every 6 months. |
Eligibility |
1.prepare
the research proposal according to the form of Wor Chor 1 Kor/Tor
describing the relation between the research project and the framework
of ASEAN cooperation in the following issues :
- supporting the ongoing ASEAN Program ;
- leading to future ASEAN countries cooperation ;
- concerning or benefiting ASEAN ; or
- maintaining or increasing Thailand\'s comparative advantage
in the Asian region.
2.submit the research proposal to Thai representative of the ASEAN
Subcommittee concerned so as to certify the relation between the
research proposal and one of the projects of the following Subcommittee
:
2.1 Subcommittee on Food Science and Technology
2.2 Subcommittee on Meteorology and Geophysics
2.3 Subcommittee on Microelectronics and Information Technology
2.4 Subcommittee on Material Science and Technology
2.5 Subcommittee on Biotechnology
2.6 Subcommittee on Non-Conventional Energy Research
2.7 Subcommittee on Marine Sciences
2.8 Subcommittee on Science and Technology Infrastructure and
Resources Development.
3.submit the following documents to Foreign Cooperation Section
2, Translation and Foreign Relations Division :
3.1 completed NRCT Submitting Form ;
3.2 summary of the proposed research project in Thai and English
languages (about 1 page) 10 copies;
3.3 Wor Chor 1 Kor/Tor Research Proposal Form (Thai) 25 copies
;
3.4 Research Proposal (English) 5 copies;
3.5 Permission letter from supervisor Director-General or the
equivalent or Executive of higher levels, allowing the applicant
to use time, place, research equipment and other necessary to
research conduct;
3.6 Certified letter from Thai representatives of the ASEAN Subcommittee
concerned stating the relation between the research proposal and
the ASEAN research project related. |
Selection |
1.Subcommittee
on Foreign Joint Project Cooperation is responsible for the consideration
of research proposal.
2.The National Research Council of Thailand is responsible for
the approval of research proposal. |
Budget |
the
amount of not over 500,000 baht per year. |
